Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot is a conglomerate of an auto battler, a role-playing game and a roguelike in which you will build and command your own party of Dwarves – up to ten in a run. The game was developed by Hamma Studios and published by Sidekick Publishing on the 22nd of January 2026. It is available to purchase through Valve’s Steam, and it will cost you 14,99€.
In Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot, your destiny is to lead your clan of Dwarves to glory against hordes of Orcs. Battles are beyond your direct control; however, the fate of your clan rests on your shoulders. Each decision you make before battles will determine your victory or defeat. So you will need to recruit only the best warriors, buy and equip them with grand weapons, armour and artifacts, and strategically position them on the battlefield. You will need to inspire them with various brews in the Tavern and also forge powerful upgrades, all while completing quests to gain rare gems. Dying in battles does not mean the end, though, since your Dwarves will return stronger than they were before. It is up to you to experiment with combinations of different Professions and unlock devastating formations.

There are seven basic Professions your Dwarves can master and these are the following:
- Knight – A defender fuelled by stamina that excels at protecting the whole clan.
- Priest – A healer who keeps the clan alive with magic that comes from wisdom.
- Warrior – A brawler that deals heavy melee damage, with strength being their main stat.
- Mage – A master of elemental magic who is destroying from afar with spells powered by intelligence.
- Thief – An agile assassin who evades retaliation.
- Archer – A precise sharpshooter that kills off enemies from a distance.
- Supporter – A versatile warrior that enhances the abilities of all allies and weakens foes.
After your Dwarves grow strong enough, you will be able to access six advanced Professions that are extremely powerful. They are not meant to replace the basic Professions, though, but you will have to successfully balance both by mastering their synergies. During battles alone, several special effects can happen – from Dodging to Burning and Bleeding, but I will not go into detail with those and will let you experience them by yourselves.
Before starting a new adventure, you will need to select your clan, and six of them will be available – I chose Stoneseekers! After that, you will choose the difficulty, and there are three available: Loot (easy), Glory (normal) and Death (hard). Playing in Loot difficulty, the game will only end when you want to retire. Glory’s session is over when you lose all Dwarves in a single battle, and Death will keep all fallen Dwarves dead and removed from your clan. The game will be over when your clan has no more Dwarves left!

Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot is an auto battler that is not “auto” as much as you would expect from the genre. There will be plenty of stuff to do between battles, so you will not be able to just sit back and chill while the game is unfolding before you. Making good strategic decisions with your Dwarves’ formations will be of utmost importance, so you will need to think them through before sending them into battles. If you can handle that, and I have no doubt you can, Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot will result in a fun roguelike game with just enough strategising that your brain will not fall asleep while playing. Discovering great synergies between Professions will feel like a “win” that will keep you craving for exploring more and more of them!
