Indie development team Travel-Friendly Cake have launched Puzzle Spy International, a 1960s spy adventure full of thinky puzzles. Players are placed in the go-go boots of top agency puzzle-solver Agent Epsilon. In that role, they will follow a trail of puzzles across several continents to track down a ring of diamond thieves and uncover their world-threatening plot. Accompanying the game’s release is a new trailer, featuring new puzzles and situations. The game was a recent finalist in the third annual Thinky Awards for Most Anticipated Game of 2026 and was featured in last year’s Cerebral Puzzle Showcase.
Mixed in with the puzzles, players will enjoy engaging and witty conversations and optional flirting. It’s all packaged up with period-appropriate retro art and a thrilling spy music soundtrack from composer Alex Doty. A comprehensive hint and answer-checking system ensures that agents of all skill levels will be able to complete the missions. With a variety of fun and challenging wordplay, logic, and rules discovery puzzles, it’s sure to delight fans of Puzzle Hunts, Puzzled Pints, NYT puzzles, and other classic paper puzzles.
“We love participating in monthly Puzzled Pints and wanted to create something with that kind of variety and challenge, only wrapped up in a larger story,” said husband-and-wife team Michael and Talia Dashow of Travel-Friendly Cake. “Working within the framework of a 1960s spy adventure gave us an interesting time period and a fun and recognizable visual style to explore.”
The dev team added “We love solving puzzles together – whether it’s Puzzled Pint or the many daily puzzles we do as a team. We hope that some players will work together to solve Puzzle Spy International as well. Tackling the puzzles with a friend or three is a lot of fun. Every person playing it will spot something different or know different idioms, so the social play makes it easier too. Our demos have gathered big crowds of people working collectively to solve the puzzles and having a blast!”
The title is available for PC, Mac, and Linux. It will be priced at $12.50 / €12.31 / £13.58. A 15% Launch Discount will be available for the next 2 weeks.
