Creative studio Gaigo Studio is proud to announce the upcoming release of ‘1997 RELOADED: Or, Whatever Happened to Andy Quinn?’, launching on Steam and itch.io on June 4th.
More than a standard visual novel, ‘1997 RELOADED’ is a cinematic “enhanced comic”—a kinetic experience that blends the power of a prestige graphic novel with a deep, emotional investigation and a world-class soundtrack of “lost hits.”
The Mystery of Andy Quinn
The journey begins in 2023 when two Italian sixteen-year-olds and their English friend Shirley find a vintage answering machine at a local flea market in Hove, England. Inside, a haunting message from 1997 echoes from the past, demanding justice for a forgotten crime.
Deep Worldbuilding: The “Roxyverse”
The investigation pulls the trio into the Roxyverse—a meticulously crafted alternate-history 1990s where Grunge never happened and Los Angeles remained the global Alt-Rock capital. In this reimagined decade, the year 1997 serves as the focal point of a forgotten musical revolution. Players are immersed in this rich world through over 2,000 original illustrations and an authentic OST of “lost hits” featuring the vocal talents of Jessie Wagner (Lenny Kravitz, Chic), Ken Gordon, and Rosa Helena.
“We wanted to create an emotional puzzle where every click feels like a heartbeat,” says the development team. “’1997 RELOADED’ is a tribute to an era—a coming-of-age story that defies time.”
