Aquila Interactive is proud to announce that they have teamed up with Nepos Games to bring County of Fortune, a medieval county-builder, to PC in Q4 2026.
At the scale of an entire region, County of Fortune puts players in charge of a growing county rather than a single city. Instead of placing individual houses and buildings within a single city, players establish whole settlements and guide them as they grow, specialise, and shape the land around them. Each village founded contributes to the county’s identity, prosperity, and cultural life, making every decision ripple across the entire map.

The game map offers distinct landscapes with every location offering its own opportunities. Some areas provide unique natural resources, others are ideal for growing specific crops, and great navigable rivers connect distant settlements. As your county grows, its social and cultural life begins to shift as noble houses rise in influence, shaping politics across the region, while village mayors bring their own strengths and flaws to local leadership. Established cultures take root in settlements, shaping how communities cooperate, or clash.

County of Fortune will be released for PC on Steam Early Access in Q4 2026 and is available to wishlist now. Players will get their first hands-on opportunity at Steam Next Fest in June 2026, where a free Demo will be available to play.
