Independent studio The Notlanders is happy to announce the demo is available on Steam for their upcoming puzzle game Fail Fail Succeed.
The Fail Fail Succeed demo offers a focused introduction to the game’s core idea, featuring a selection of early puzzles and a complete set of mechanics.
“The demo is an honest first encounter with the game’s core idea,” says Martin Zetterman, the solo developer of the game. “It contains a little bit of most things the game has to offer, while intentionally introductory, so players can get a taste of what it feels like to fail.”
Inspired by the developer’s personal experiences with mental health struggles, Fail Fail Succeed is a puzzle platformer where failure is the only way forward. Players take control of an anonymous figure trapped in an uneasy, dreamlike world, guided by a dog toward what may be the escape. Progress is blocked by impossible traps, but each failure allows something to be left behind: a tool you can use to get further.
Told without words, the game explores mental health, persistence, and the unconditional bond between human and dog.
